Description
Roger Broders designed this Menton travel poster in 1922 for the Paris-Lyon-Méditerranée (PLM) railway, promoting the sun-blessed resort town on the French Riviera famed for its lemon groves, mild winter climate and pastel-hued old town. Broders’ signature clean lines, bold flat colours and elegant simplification made him the defining poster artist of the PLM, and this Menton design is a classic of French Art Deco travel advertising.
A wonderful collector’s piece for lovers of the French Riviera, Côte d’Azur travel history, and the golden age of railway posters — equally at home in a living room, hallway, study or holiday let.
The poster is carefully digitally restored, retaining the classic character of the original artwork, and printed to order on premium paper with fade-resistant inks. Available on canvas or matte paper in a wide range of sizes. Worldwide delivery.
New reproduction: a modern fine art print, printed to order on premium paper — not an original or antique poster.
