Description

René Péan designed this poster in 1896 for the Cabaret du Chien Noir, one of the nightspots of belle époque Paris. The cabaret’s name — the Black Dog — takes centre stage in a bold, playful design that captures the excitement of Parisian nightlife at the close of the nineteenth century.

A wonderful collector’s piece for lovers of Parisian cabaret history and the golden age of French poster design.

The poster is carefully digitally restored, retaining the classic character of the original artwork, and printed to order on premium paper with fade-resistant inks. Available on canvas or matte paper in a wide range of sizes. Worldwide delivery.

New reproduction: a modern fine art print, printed to order on premium paper — not an original or antique poster.
